Garment stock is hard to manage on a simple billing program because every design comes in many sizes and colours. In the Textile business type, you enter the style once and fill a size × colour grid. Each cell becomes its own variant with its own stock and its own barcode label, so the cashier scans the exact piece and the stock report tells you that the medium blue is sold out while the XL red is not moving.
Fabric, dress material and running sarees are sold by length, so quantities can be entered in metres. Brand and fabric fields (cotton, silk, rayon, polyester and so on) make search and reporting easier when the shop has hundreds of similar designs.

Do I have to create every size and colour by hand?

Can I sell cloth by the metre?
Yes. Quantities can be entered in metres with decimals, such as 1.25 m or 2.5 m.
How do I handle exchanges?
Record a sales return for the piece being returned (it goes back into stock and the customer is credited or refunded), then bill the new piece.
Can I print price tags with size and MRP?
Yes. Labels carry the barcode, shop name, price and MRP; sizes include 50×25 mm and 38×25 mm, 2-up and 3-up rolls, and A4 sheets.
