How to install QuPOS on Windows 10 or 11
Download and install QuPOS, get past the SmartScreen warning, and finish the first-run wizard: business type, shop and tax details, database and admin login.

QuPOS installs like any Windows program and is ready to bill in about ten minutes. Everything it needs is in the installer: .NET is built in, and the Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime is added automatically if the PC does not have it. No account or card is needed for the 30-day free trial.
You will need
- Windows 10 (version 1809 or later) or Windows 11, 64-bit
- 4 GB RAM and 300 MB free disk space
- Administrator access to the PC (only for installing)
- Internet for the download (billing works offline afterwards)
Steps
Download the installer
On qupos.in, open Download and click "Download QuPOS". Save QuPOS-Setup.exe to your Downloads folder.
Run it as administrator
Double-click QuPOS-Setup.exe and click Yes when Windows asks for permission. If SmartScreen shows "Windows protected your PC", click "More info" and then "Run anyway".
Accept the licence and finish setup
Accept the licence agreement, keep the desktop icon ticked if you want one, and click Install. On Windows 10 the installer adds the Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime if it is missing. QuPOS installs to C:\Program Files\QuPOS.
Choose your business type
QuPOS opens the "Welcome to QuPOS" wizard. Pick Barcode Billing, Supermarket, Textile or Mobile Shop. You can change it later in Settings.
Enter your shop details
Type the shop name (required), country, phone, address, city and state, your GSTIN or VAT number and UPI ID if you have them, then choose GST, single tax or no tax and the currency symbol. These appear on your bills.
Choose where data is stored
Pick "This PC (recommended)" for a single counter. For two or more counters, choose Microsoft SQL Server, enter the server (for example .\SQLEXPRESS or 192.168.1.10\SQLEXPRESS) and click Test connection. A second counter enters the same server and database and joins the existing shop.
Create the admin login
Enter your name, a username and a password (at least 4 characters). Tick "sample items" if you want a few items to practise with, then click "Start billing" and sign in.
Set up printing and start billing
Open Settings → Printing, choose your bill format and printer, and click Test print. Then add your items (or import them from a spreadsheet), open a new bill with F10, scan and press F9.
Tips and troubleshooting
- Your data is kept in C:\ProgramData\QubhaBilling, separate from the program. Uninstalling or reinstalling QuPOS does not delete it.
- Automatic daily backup is on from the first day. Point it at a USB drive or a Google Drive or OneDrive folder in Settings → Backup.
- Reinstalling does not restart the free trial; the trial counts from the first installation on the PC.
