How to update QuPOS to a new version
Let QuPOS update itself, or update manually with the latest installer. Your data, settings and licence are kept. Includes checking the SHA-256 checksum.

Updates are free for the life of the product. The app checks this website for new versions and installs them for you; you can also update by hand.
You will need
- Internet connection for the download
Steps
Take a backup first
Click Backup now. Updates keep your data, but a fresh backup is good practice.
Accept the update prompt
When the app shows "Version x is available", click Update now (or use Licence & Updates). It downloads the installer from this website and checks its SHA-256.
Let it install
Close any open bills. The installer replaces the program files in C:\Program Files\QuPOS and leaves your data in %ProgramData%\QubhaBilling untouched.
Or update manually
Download the latest installer from the download page, optionally check its SHA-256, close QuPOS and run the installer over the existing installation.
Check the version
Open the app and confirm the new version number, then glance at the changelog for what changed.
Tips and troubleshooting
- On several counters, update all of them to the same version, starting when the shop is closed.
- To verify a download in PowerShell: Get-FileHash .\QuPOS-Setup.exe -Algorithm SHA256
