How to track IMEI numbers in a mobile shop
Record IMEI 1 and IMEI 2 at purchase, sell the exact handset, print warranty months on the bill and find any phone's bill with IMEI search in QuPOS Mobile Shop.

Each handset must be traced from the supplier's invoice to the customer's bill. In QuPOS, IMEIs are captured at purchase and selected at billing, so every sold phone can be found later.
You will need
- Barcode scanner (a 2D scanner reads phone-box labels best)
- QuPOS with the Mobile Shop business type
Steps
Choose the Mobile Shop type
Select Mobile Shop in the first-run wizard or later in Settings.
Create the model
Add the phone as an item with brand, model, price and warranty in months.
Enter the purchase with IMEIs
Record the purchase from your supplier with their invoice number. For each handset, scan IMEI 1 and IMEI 2 from the box label.
Sell the handset
On the billing screen, scan the IMEI from the box. The exact handset is added to the bill.
Print the bill with warranty
Press F9. The bill shows the IMEI and warranty months.
Search by IMEI
For a warranty claim or return, open Stock → Find IMEI to see the purchase, the bill that sold the phone, the date and the customer.
Tips and troubleshooting
- Scanning IMEIs avoids typing mistakes in 15-digit numbers.
- Bill accessories as normal barcoded items on the same bill.
